porcelain Veneers

Porcelain Veneers are a cosmetic option for many patients.  Drs. Klein love to do smile makeovers and dentistry to help people feel their best.  Veneers can be an excellent option to help patients achieve their cosmetic goals, but they are not for everybody.  A veneer is essentially a flat piece of tooth colored dental material, usually porcelain, that is bonded to the front of the teeth.  This is able to correct for many cosmetic concerns that can not be addressed in any other way.  For example, if you have a tooth shape that is not esthetic, that is something that can not be corrected in any other predictable, long lasting way.  Other examples can be significantly fractured teeth,  certain types of stained teeth, and malformed teeth.

Veneers Are not forever!

Many people are under the misconception that once they have their teeth corrected with porcelain veneers that they will have this beautiful smile forever...no maintenance required.  This is absolutely not true!  Veneers will provide you with a beautiful, improvement to your smile; however, they do take maintenance, and even replacement!  The average veneer will last 8-15 years depending on many factors such as home care, regular hygiene visits, and even your bite, and your risk to cavities or periodontal disease.  If you choose to have this cosmetic procedure done early in your life you need to fully expect to replace them once or even several times over the course of your lifetime.  We really love the benefits and cosmetic outcomes of porcelain veneers but we also want our patients to be fully educated on the process and the maintenance required to keep their smile beautiful!

Composite veneers

Composite veneers are a great option that can offer similar cosmetic results for a fraction of the price of porcelain veneers.  Composite veneers are done "chairside" meaning that we do the entire process while you are in the dental chair.  During this process Drs. Klein will use a very high quality restorative material called composite to add to teeth and cover teeth much in the same way that the porcelain veneers do.  We can correct many cosmetic flaws with dental composite and the artistic ability of Dr. Aric and Dr. Amy really comes through.  Please allow us the opportunity to discuss these and many other options to improve your smile and your dental health.
