Meet Houston Dentists Aric E. Klein, DDS & Amy J. Klein, DDS
Dr. Aric Eugene Klein:
Dr. Aric Klein is origionally from Spirit Lake, Iowa. In 2002 he received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. Dr. Aric attended dental school at The University og Iowa College of Dentistry, and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2005. Dr. Aric is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, which is a dental fraternity which recognizes only the top 5% of all dental graduates.
Dr. Amy Joyce Klein:
Dr. Amy Klein is originally from Plainview, Texas (a small town 45 minutes north of Lubbock). In 2001 she received a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Texas A&M University. WHOOOOOP! Dr. Amy attended dental school at The University Of Texas Heath Science Center in San Antonio, and graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2004.
How did we meet?
We hear this question all the time! Once people realize that we went to school in two different states people always ask..."how did you two meet?" Well, in dental school we were both student leaders in a student orginzation called The American Student Dental Association. This is the student body to the American Dental Society. Our schools had each respectivaly sent each of us to an officer's meeting in Los Angeles, California. We met at this meeting during Amy's second year of dental school and Aric's first. We kept in touch and dated long distance for three years. We were married on July 15, 2004 just a few days after Dr. Amy's dental school graduation.
Our Story Together:
After we were married Dr. Amy moved to Iowa City and worked as an asssociate dentist for one year while Dr. Aric was finishing school. Dr. Aric graduated in May of 2005, and we moved to the Great Lakes area of Illinois so that he could fullfill his commitment to the US Navy. Dr. Aric was stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Base, and worked part time as an assocaite dentist in a nearby town of Burlington, Wisconsin. Dr. Amy worked as an associate dentist in the nearby town of Kenosha, Wisconsin. After three years, we decided that it was time to move back to the south! We looked forward to the warmer climate!
When did we arrive back in Texas?
Drs. Aric and Amy Klein transitioned into the practice of Dr. William Ferris on November 1, 2008.
Our Family:
Drs. Aric and Amy have been blessed with two beautiful children. Alexander Eugene Klein was born on August 25, 2005; and Ayla Joyce Klein was born on August 7, 2008. Our children are the light of our lives!

Dr. Ernest Nelson James: Amy's paternal grandfather, he is now retired.
Graduated from University of Texas
Health Science Center at Houston in 1956.
Dr. Jimmy Nelson James: Amy's father, he currently practices in Plainview,
TX. He graduated from the University
of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in
1973.
Dr. Adam Hintze Klein: Aric's brother, he currently practices in Luverne,
Minnesota. He also graduated from The
University of Iowa College of Dentistry in
2005.
Dr. Jeffrey Nelson James: This is Amy's brother. He is currently in a Oral
and Maxiofacial Surgery residency in
New Orleans, Lousiana at Lousiana State
University. He graduated from The University of
Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2007.
